Last week I was writing like a crazy woman trying to meet my article submission deadline for the paper. I have my webmail set to auto-save every minute so that if I have to flip around doing research I can do so without my webmail timing out on me. So there I was 5 minutes before I had to go to work, I clicked “save” to save the final draft and the log-in page appears before my eyes. SOB. Thanks Aliant. Your “New Webmail” officially sucks the big one. I log into my webmail account to manage my email so that I don’t have to worry about settings on my own computer. I’ve missed my deadline 4 times now because of glitches in their new webmail. Actually before Bell took over Aliant, there was no better webmail available… it was fabulous! Now, well, I’m not going to use That webmail any longer. I’m going to exclusively use my Website.ws email accounts.
I’ll stop whining now… wait, I have one more whine before I move on to Flowers, OK? It has to do with my Blog. I’ve been hosting my main website (CalliesGardens.com) with GoDaddy for quite a few years now. I upgraded to a premium hosting package and just assumed I’d get my Blog without the Godaddy ads at the top, messing up the look of the page.
NOOO… I have to pay More to get them to remove those stupid ads. Ummm… I’m moving my Blog here GoDaddy AND, I’ll probably move my website too. And I’ll want a refund too thank you very much. Ya just gotta get with the program when you are a website/blog host. Too much competition out there offering the same or better value for the same or better prices, and in the case of Blogs, most of those are Free, WITHOUT company ads at the top of the Bog header!!
OK, NOW I’m done whining! LOL I’m going to attempt to re-create last weeks column as my blog is kind of like an archive for my weekly column with the Kings County Record… The Lazy Gardener. Read On…
